A Mar Thoma parish shaped by worship, scripture, family life, and care.
Salem Mar Thoma Church Southampton serves families and individuals across the region through regular worship, area prayer meetings, Sunday School, pastoral care, and ministry life for all ages.
Our Church Heritage
The Mar Thoma Syrian Church traces its heritage to the witness of Saint Thomas the Apostle and describes itself as Apostolic in origin, Biblical in faith, Ecumenical in outlook, Oriental in worship, Democratic in function, and Episcopal in character.
As a local parish, we share in that wider Mar Thoma witness while serving the spiritual needs of families, children, young people, and visitors in and around Southampton.
Worship and Parish Life
- Mar Thoma worship gives prime importance to prayer, scripture, congregational participation, and Holy Qurbana. Alongside Holy Communion, the Church also gathers for ordinary worship, intercession, preaching, thanksgiving, and fellowship.
- Parish life includes Holy Qurbana, ordinary worship, area prayer meetings, Sunday School, and ministry gatherings through the year.
- Visitors can expect reverent worship, warm fellowship, and a community that values scripture, prayer, and service.
Office bearers and ministry leads.
The parish is served by clergy, office bearers, and ministry leaders who help guide worship, administration, pastoral care, and community life.
